Here and Thriving!

Thank you for your patience.  We landed in our new home country 16 days ago.  And let me tell you, it has been a whirlwind...but so much fun.

Kids did great on the plane and we touched down the night of the 16th.  We were met at the airport by 3 different families who were so kind to load our stuff into vans and transport us to our hotel.  We were all so exhausted and everyone crashed and slept 12 hours.  We woke the next day to the beauty of this country and breakfast made for us.  And then the race began.  We ran around town trying to get absolute necessities so we could stay at the hotel as little as possible.  It's funny when you try to think about what you cannot live without.  Fridge? Microwave? Beds...that's a must.  But we did it.  3 days after we landed we transported everyone and all 16 suitcases to our new home.

We love, love, love our new place.  It's spacious.  It has 4 different kinds of fruit trees growing in the yard.  Our neighbors are LOVELY.  It is quite unusual for neighbors to interact much.  But I think we are so far out of town that people are just more friendly.  We have interacted it with our neighbors quite a bit.  Huge blessing.

We have started language classes, gotten the three little ones enrolled in preschool, set up wiring, plumbing, a/c's, ordered furniture.  We can't believe how much we have gotten done in the he last 2 weeks of being moved in.  The house remains empty but is slowly starting to feel like home :). We really love it, even though we are quite a bit outside town.

Our biggest prayer request is internet.  We can't seem to find anyone who will service our area.  We haven't yet given up hope but we are slowly starting to feel the pressure.  We can't do the kids' school, curt's work will be hindered, I can't do anything online.  So, pray with us that The Lord will provide some company who either can or is willing to run lines to our house.

Off to Thai class...pictures to come!!
