And I will say it again. It's amazing how quickly time flies. Thanksgiving is almost upon us, the semester is almost done and Zoya (the new baby) is almost here!
This semester was a blast. Here's what we got to see:
- a men's group start on Tuesday afternoons. Half believers, half unbelievers. Curt is helping to lead it.
- a handful of outings which helped us get more and more connected with the sororities and fraternities
- 13 involved sorority women in 2 storying groups. Again, half believers, half not.
- GROWTH among the students we work with, especially the unbelievers!
- 2 of the women headed toward full-time ministry
- the men's group growing
- Janna still leading the women next semester but combining the 2 groups she has now into one. She will be losing 2 women; one graduating and the other studying abroad
- Zoya arriving on December 10th @ 7:30 a.m. via c-section (Flagstaff law: once you have a c-section, you have to have another). 17 days!
- expanding our ministry to other areas of campus (possibly athletes)
- REST. It has been a very busy semester, which has passed quickly. Although having a baby doesn't seem very restful, it is appealing when we spend so much time out and about on top of having 4 kids :)
- Carmen loves hanging out in the dryer
- Carmen hanging out and reading a book
- & 4. Halloween! I never posted about this. We went to the local nursing home and handed out crafts we made (Tihi is holding one) to all the local residents. You know what? It was SO much fun! The residents were so surprised that they were getting something instead. And it was a lot warmer than trick-or-treating outside.
The kids continue to do well. Turi and Bitsu are enjoying school, which is a huge challenge but I am so glad they get to go. Continue to pray with us that God will provide the funds for them to keep going. Tihi is also doing well in school and is solidly in 2nd grade. She is a very fast learner.
Carmen is his usual happy, mellow self who got to see snow for the first time today. The only thing he would do is eat it. Oh well.
