"So, how's the semester going?", you wonder. Really well!! First, let's start with Curt. He had an outing last Saturday with a fraternity and is following up with the men this week. We are praying that something will come from this!! There are 6 guys to be followed up with. He and our director have also been setting up a table weekly in the Greek dorm (where ALL the sororities and fraternities are housed) and that seems to be really profitable for connecting with guys. They took two guys out climbing last week from that and will be hanging out with them on Saturday. Finally, some men!! Thank you for praying.
On my side, things have also been great. A second Bible study just started up with sorority women yesterday. We had 6 but who knows how many we'll wind up with. You can keep praying for that. The first Bible study seems to be going really well and the women are dedicated. Some women I disciple have really started feeling called to full-time ministry after they graduate and we are processing what joining staff with CCC would look like for them. That is always exciting. Thank you for your prayers all around!
Turi continues to really love school. She is being really challenged but is meeting the challenges well. Because it's a Christian school, we see her spiritual needs getting met as well as academic. Bitsu LOVES school. She has a lot of friends but her school is a lot less challenging. We are praying about having her change schools and need wisdom in this area, as Turi's school costs a good deal of money.
Tihi also wants to go to school :(. She does well at school but in her words, "I want to go to school to get friends." We'll pray about sending her next year, if we are still here. 1st grade is just so easy to home-school and she is a FAST learner and easy to work with. She has already moved up to 2nd grade math and her reading is quickly approaching that level.
Carmen continues to be great. Great sleeper, great eater (does he ever quit?) and, as you can see in the pic, he has learned to play the recorder.
The new baby is quite a mover! We are still praying that she will be as calm as Carmen but I highly doubt it...
