Christmas and New Years

So, we switched up Christmas and New Years. We decided that we wanted Christmas to be only focused on Christ and New Years Day would be the day for the presents. I really liked how it turned out. Christmas Eve we went to church for the candlelight service, which the girls loved. Christmas day we got up and cooked a bit for Christmas dinner. We had my brother, his wife and her family in for dinner. The day was pretty relaxed. We told the Christmas story, ate, played games, hung out and sang happy birthday to Jesus. I really think the girls enjoyed it.
Curt went to San Diego for our annual Christmas conference with Crusade on the 27th. There were 800 students from our region who got to hear some great speakers and participate in some great worship. Curt was on the set-up crew and had a good time building sets for different dramas and such.
We all got back together and opened our presents on the 2nd (the 1st was travel day for Curt). The girls had a GREAT time (as you can tell from Turi's face). They couldn't contain their excitement, opened all the presents as fast as possible and experienced that depression when everything is finally opened. I think we only bought them 3 things total. People were SO generous with giving things for the girls. Thank you all again for those who sent them things. They are loving playing with all their new things.
Normal life has resumed. Christmas decorations are cleaned up, school has started and Curt has gone back to work.
P.S. Carmen continues to do well. He is currently sleeping through the night and has been for about 2 weeks consistently. Finally!!!!!!!!!!
