GOTCHA DAY

Yes, we have had the girls 2 years!! Gotcha day was a few days back and it snowed a foot for them. We let them skip school (shhh!!!) and did a number of things. First, we played outside in the snow, then we took them bowling for the first time (they were thrilled!), came home and ate pizza, played games, watched Superman 3 and ate stuffed shells for dinner (something I rarely make b/c of the time commitment!). It was a good day. Bitsu said the day after that she wished she could do the day over again. Who wouldn't?

God has been so good to us. The girls have adjusted so well and haven't presented any really hard issues due to adoption, He has molded us into a family, they are doing well at school and English and have caught up well in all areas, they are healthy, Carmen and Zoya are healthy (and she sleeps through the night!). We count our blessings and could not ask for more. Thank you, Jesus, for our family!!!

Everyone loves the Bumbo!

We have had a great spring break. The girls had the week off, which was nice. Mornings were quieter and slower and I had a lot more help. It's a good thing too. The weather warmed up, the girls put on shorts only to find that neither Turi nor Bitsu fit into any of their shorts or capris from last year. Crazy! So, we took a hike to Old Navy, who was having their winter clearance sale, and bought out the store (that's what it felt like). Did you know that the girls have gone from a size 7/8 (what they were wearing when they came) to a 14, sometimes 16? In two years!! Guess it's all that spinach I feed them :).

We have 6 weeks left in the semester. I can't believe it. Time flies when you have a newborn. Speaking of newborns, Zoya is officially sleeping through the night. Both Mom and Dad are much happier :).

This is a fun video of Zoya talking.

So funny that Carmen is already reading on the toilet!

I don't know that much has been happening here to report but there are plenty of pics!

The girls recently got to do a skit night at their school (pics to come) and that was really fun for them. They also spent an entire day coloring these gigantic posters I had gotten for them and they wanted to display them so here they are!

The two little ones are doing well. Carmen just loves to play with Zoya. He really adores her, which is fun. He also loves to mimic Dad, as you can see in the pic. He is still his happy and content self and he FINALLY got another tooth in. He got 2 when he was 9 months, 4 when he was about 12 months and nothing since! Now he has 7.
Zoya is still content and a happy sleeper.

Ministry has been great. Curt has had a couple of outings of which both him and Dave are following up with. There seem to be quite a few interested guys so pray that they would allow Curt and Dave to be a part of their lives! The guys they already have (all non-believers) have really been challenged through the Bible stories Curt has been sharing with them. Curt said their last group was so much fun as they processed the story really well and had a great time doing it. It is so fun watching God produce fruit with some men!!

The women are also great. We had quite a few outside women express interest in our group so we started a second group. But, even better, is that I am not leading it! One of my women is leading it! So, it's been fun to coach her in storying and hear how her group is growing. We had a b-day party here on Sunday for 2 of my girls and some of her women came as well.

Some of the women I disciple are studying Romans with me (what a challenge!) and I have another group that we are working through a marriage book (another challenge). Would you believe I have 1 married woman, 3 engaged women and 2 who are in a very serious relationship/soon-to-be-engaged? Crazy. I feel sorry for the singles in the group!

So, thank you for your prayers! God is doing great things here at NAU!
