Uncle Jason

My brother, Jason, came for a visit this past weekend. The girls LOVE when he comes. He always takes them swimming for way longer than Curt or I would stand. We had a great time with him, playing games and going to the pool.
Zoya continues to do well. She still sleeps ALL the time (it's so hard to wake her!), eats well (although really spits up if I eat spicy food...sad) and rarely cries. I think the Lord knew just what we needed :).
All the others are doing well: holding Zoya when she's awake and enjoying their Christmas break. Of course, Carmen is doing none of these but he is having fun having all his sisters to play with.
My parents come in town on Saturday, which we all know means less work for me :). We hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you for being such a blessing to our family!!

Zoya Theresa Hanover

Zoya was born via c-section on December 10th at 7:58 a.m. She was pronounced perfectly healthy (thank you, God!) and I am doing just fine. At this point, I would say I feel 90% recovered (although it takes months for the incision to fully heal). Zoya is a charm who sleeps 97% of her day. Carmen had acid reflux and didn't sleep well at all, waking in pain often. Zoya, who so far appears to be well, sleeps like a newborn should and I wander around the house wondering what to do with myself.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We have been home since Saturday afternoon and the girls just LOVE her (although they are a bit disappointed she sleeps so much :)).

36 hours...

In 36 hours we will become a family of 7. Odd how that happens so quickly. The beginning of 2009, we had no kids and the end of 2010, we have 5.

Assuming all goes well, Zoya will be born around 8 am this Friday morning. The semester turned out wonderful. I have 2 girls leaving (one studying abroad and one graduating) and 1 girl joining our group. So, I will be leading a group of 12 next semester, assuming I am functional enough :).

Thank you for your prayers for this past semester and keep them coming as we add a new little one to this family!!

Keep checking. Pictures posted soon...
