Just thought I would post some fun pics. The girls got together with some other neighborhood kids and carved their pumpkins last week, which we dressed Carmen up for :). And here's a video of him finally walking!! Crazy. Only took him 13 months...

Where to start. The last two pics are the girls decorating for Halloween, which they did have a lot of fun with. They love decorating for everything. I remember going out after Halloween last year and buying up stuff on sale. I can't believe it's been almost a year already!
The second picture is of a Halloween party we went to where they dressed up. They are fairies this year. I bet their favorite part was getting their hair colored. Since they've always wanted to fly since reading Peter Pan, the wings were a HUGE hit too.
The first pic is Tihi lost another tooth. So did Bitsu but her's is a molar. This is Tihi's 4th tooth whereas Bitsu has only 3 left to go before braces time!
They continue to amaze me with how quickly they are growing. You wouldn't believe that Turi was wearing 7/8's when she came 18 months ago and she's now in a 14. It's crazy. I just had to go out and do shopping for them, again, for pants.
Their language continues to improve, especially with being in school. They are fluent but there is a lot of vocab they just haven't been exposed to. Science and History words, for instance. So, it's been good for them to be challenged in that.

God's Grace

The other day, Turi was sitting with us at the table. She was sharing with us about what she had learned in school. Turi and Bitsu attend the only Christian school in town and we LOVE what they learn there.
Anyway, she was sharing how her teacher mentioned that God allowed bad things to happen to us so that good might come of it. And she said, "That's when I realized why my birth-dad had to die. If he hadn't died, I wouldn't have been adopted. If I hadn't been adopted, I would never have known about Jesus like I do now."
Without God's grace, there is no way an 11 year would be able to express or understand these concepts. It was an amazing thing to hear and we do praise Him who is doing such a work in her heart!

Carmen is such boy!! He was just sitting around making these noises that sure sounded like he was imitating a car. So funny.

Just a quick report to tell you that everyone is doing well. Turi and Bitsu continue to really love school. Turi is having a harder and harder time keeping her grades up as she gets deeper into subjects like social studies and science. But we're not concerned because a lot of it has to do with vocab. Bitsu loves her teacher and school. She came home on Friday and said, "I wish tomorrow was Monday so that I could go back to school!". Sadly, I doubt we'll be able to keep them both in this school next year since the tuition is pretty expensive. We'll see...

Tihi continues to excel in her studies and has been a great help to me at home, even though she is only 6. Carmen is Carmen. New baby is still in there :).

Thank you for praying for Curt starting a group. They have!! They took
another fraternity out last weekend and from that, have a group of guys who want to be in a group like the ones I lead. I think out of the men they have, only 1 is actually a believer. So fun! Thank you again for praying for that.
