SNOW cont....

SNOW!!!!!

I mean, this is snow. We probably will wind up with a total of 4 ft. by the time it's all said and done. It's been snowing since Monday and will snow until tomorrow. We have been trying to get out to ski but the ski resort is closed! I mean, come on. Will post pics of the girls out in it later on today. This is just to give you an idea. Note the stop signs and you can see how much we are actually up to. It's all on top of the 2 ft. we got last month. So fun!!!!!

Mornings

Here's where Carmen loves to be these days. He is often found in the corner, by himself, playing in his activity center. It's amazing how fast they grow. Sometimes we forget he's there. Once he gets bored, we turn him a little to a new toy and he's off again. He still has big feet. Can you see his feet poking out of his pjs?
He now sleeps through the night. He's in bed around 7 and up around 6 or 6:30. Suddenly, as I'm getting 9 hours of sleep/night, I feel tired. I did pretty well for 4 months but this morning especially, I am pretty beat. And I slept from 9:30-6:00!
We are back in the swing of school. Now I am teaching as we only hired someone for the 3 months up until Christmas. It has gone a lot smoother than I expected. We have really worked well together and are getting school done by mid-day, even with nursing breaks and the baby wanting attention. It can be a little more frustrating but it's going well.
Curt is back on campus and has new energy this semester, which is awesome. He's going to get to lead a new BS this semester, mentor students who will be leading their BS's and continue to meet with one guy that he was meeting with last semester but more consistently. He's looking forward to it!
p.s. the other picture is ellie trying to get warm on the laptop. should someone tell her she doesn't fit?

Christmas and New Years

So, we switched up Christmas and New Years. We decided that we wanted Christmas to be only focused on Christ and New Years Day would be the day for the presents. I really liked how it turned out. Christmas Eve we went to church for the candlelight service, which the girls loved. Christmas day we got up and cooked a bit for Christmas dinner. We had my brother, his wife and her family in for dinner. The day was pretty relaxed. We told the Christmas story, ate, played games, hung out and sang happy birthday to Jesus. I really think the girls enjoyed it.
Curt went to San Diego for our annual Christmas conference with Crusade on the 27th. There were 800 students from our region who got to hear some great speakers and participate in some great worship. Curt was on the set-up crew and had a good time building sets for different dramas and such.
We all got back together and opened our presents on the 2nd (the 1st was travel day for Curt). The girls had a GREAT time (as you can tell from Turi's face). They couldn't contain their excitement, opened all the presents as fast as possible and experienced that depression when everything is finally opened. I think we only bought them 3 things total. People were SO generous with giving things for the girls. Thank you all again for those who sent them things. They are loving playing with all their new things.
Normal life has resumed. Christmas decorations are cleaned up, school has started and Curt has gone back to work.
P.S. Carmen continues to do well. He is currently sleeping through the night and has been for about 2 weeks consistently. Finally!!!!!!!!!!
