Carmen's Moves
Carmen has figured out how to get out of his chair. He kicks and kicks and yesterday fell right out when my back was turned. Oops. Needs a seat belt.

Merry Christmas!
Turi finally went to the dentist who said, "She has all her permanent teeth in. She can get braces." We debated for awhile and finally decided to do it. So, yesterday she got them put on.
We also took them to see Santa and Turi was the only one who would get on his lap. Tihi thought that was a pretty scary thought. We've already discussed with them that Santa isn't real so when he asked Turi what she wanted for Christmas, she said, "Oh. That's nice of him to ask."
We want to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We hope that Christ can be the center of your Christmas this year!

Fun Pics of Carmen
Here's some fun pics for you. Carmen is going to be 16 weeks soon and has started rice cereal twice a day. So, there's a pic of him eating. The two of him in his crib I thought were so cute. He sleeps in the funniest positions and Ellie, the cat, seems to think that the crib is hers. Lastly, a friend gave us the "Bumbo", which we have never heard of but it helps Carmen to sit up. He's been playing with toys in it, although he doesn't like to stay in it for very long.

Christmas Trees, First Snow and More, Cont.
We finally bit the bullet and went and cut down our Christmas tree. We debated about just buying a fake one for the money's sake but then decided that a real one for our first Christmas together was a better idea. So, we all went to a tree farm (and it was cold and really windy) and picked out a 9 ft. tree. They cut it down for us and loaded it on our car. We drove home and spent the afternoon decorating. The girls were thrilled to have such a big tree and it was a lot of fun to do as a family. They don't really know about the presents coming and think that the tree is the main thing. Ha ha. Little do they know :)....
We also decided to switch New Years and Christmas as our family tradition. We want Christmas to focus on Christ's birth so Christmas Day will be family, a meal, church, telling the story, etc. New Years will be the day of presents and such. Think of all the discounts we'll get! :) JK.

Christmas Trees, First Snow and More
So, I am just going to throw pictures up here. We have been taking a lot recently.
First, Flagstaff got dumped on (which I hear is not uncommon) and we got 2 ft. of snow in a 24 hour period. The girls were SO excited. They spent the whole day, with few breaks, outside trying to go down our small hill on the sled, making a snow bear, a snow duck, snow angels, a snow house, riding their bikes and running around. It was so fun to watch them. It is so beautiful to look outside and see all of this. What a treat.
Thanksgiving was so fun also as we had lots of friends in town. We took them and the family rock climbing, which we haven't done as a family in awhile since Carmen arrived. It was a good time.
